Boost pedals may seem boring, with their one knob and limited sounds, but the right one can be an indispensable tonal tool.

The "Very Useful Boost" is more than just a clean boost; sure, it can do that, but it was designed with more roles in mind. Whilst many clean boosts just turn up the volume of your signal, the "Very Useful Boost" applies some gentle tone shaping to produce a smooth and natural sound, which, when pushing an amp or other drives, will keep your tone clear and crisp without getting harsh or brittle.

Many boosts use a single amplifier stage to just up the volume dramatically in one go; the "Very Useful Boost" uses multiple stages so that, when you begin cranking the volume, you get a much fuller & richer saturation sound that layers with your amp or drives.

These two design elements also allow it to excel in one of the other roles it was designed for; adding analogue realness to a digital setup. If you're recording direct in to a DAW, plugging your instrument straight into an audio interface can sound flat and sterile. Instead, put the "Very Useful Boost" before your interface, and listen as the gentle tone shaping and multiple amplifier stages soften up the sound and produce a more natural tone.
