This is a new pedal, built by our incredibly talented local friend - Just Some Audio Effects. Known for hits such as the Hot Toddy, Porta IV and Hippohotamus pedals, JSA creates insanely good effects at very realistic prices, with an unparalleled attention to detail! We're proud to be offering some of his creations in-store & online.

Here's what JSA has to say about the Lady Garden -

"Lady Garden" - part fuzz, part overdrive, all massive toanz

Before the "Big Muff" the fine folks at Electro Harmonix built the "Muff Fuzz" - a small one knob box which plugged straight in to your guitar, and was closer to a two transistor fuzz with clipping diodes than what the "Big Muff" would became. The "Muff Fuzz" quickly became one of my favourite circuits, and with such a simple original design, there was so much scope to modify and add elements to it.

The "Lady Garden" virtually doubles the size of the "Muff Fuzz" circuit to create an incredibly versatile fuzz, capable of sweet and clear drive sounds; big, blown out fuzz tones; all the way through to gated, sputtering, modern style fuzz

The first stage of the circuit is a high headroom MOSFET boost; this is wired between the 'Gain' control and the main fuzz circuit. With the 'Gain' control fully left, you're only hearing the two transistor fuzz circuit, and turning the 'Gain' control clockwise brings in the boost stage, pushing the fuzz harder and harder.

The 'Bias' control helps fine tune the fuzz to perfection. With the control fully left you have a bright & clear tone. Turning it clockwise both thickens and adds more bite to the fuzz, until you hit the sweet spot around 2 - 3 o'clock when the fuzz jumps in to full force. After this, the 'bias' starts to go into gated, velcroy territory before finally choking out.

Hand built by one-man-and-his-cat in sunny ol' Derby, the "Lady Garden" is housed in a hand painted 1590BS enclosure with top mounted jacks - this is the same small footprint as the EHX Nano range of pedals, but deeper than a EQD/Walrus style enclosure, allowing for plenty of space for pancake jacks.
