Here's what NCG have to say about it:
The NCG Bayou is handmade in our Nottingham workshop. The guitar is heavily distressed and hand-carved, with a solid body. All the bling & niceties are dispensed with. Steel & brass hardware is actively encouraged and designed to tarnish & corrode. Don’t be precious, just sweat it and play it. This particular guitar is the first time we have introduced the front facing aluminium control plate and stepped top to the body. There are customisable options on the control plate. Please take a look at NCG Parts for ideas.
A neck pickup can be incorporated in to this design on request. Bigsby B5 ready, fitting on request.

- Two-piece hand-carved Alder body. Finished in aged black over pelham blue nitro paint. Celluloid abalone binding. Heavy relic
25.5” scale length - Mahogany neck with rosewood fingerboard, 12” radius. Jescar FW 55090 nickel frets
- Two-way truss rod. Gotoh vintage tuners
- 42.5 mm wide unbleached bone nut
- NCG steel neck plate, strap buttons, string tree & brass ferrule block
- NCG P20 steel bridge with brass saddles
- Lacquered sand cast aluminium control plate
- Bare Knuckle P90 Blue Note pickup, CTS pots, Switchcraft jack. V & T with treble bleed
