Pre-Owned Yamaha FG-200 Acoustic - Natural - 1973

This Yamaha is absolutely lovely! Made in the early '70s, it is in really great shape for a 50+ year old guitar. It's been a one owner guitar and has clearly been loved and looked after. The main selling point on this is the sound - it has opened up over the years and sounds huge. It's got a very responsive feel and copes well with finger picking or big chord strumming. It's genuinely one our favourite sounding acoustics we've had! 

There is some fretwear as to be expected with the age, but nothing that causes buzzing or dead notes. The action is fairly high (measurements tbc) - if it wasn't for this we could ask a lot more money and be completely confident it was worth it! The neck angle looks good, there is no bridge lift or bellying that has caused a high action. The saddle is already fairly low, so not much scope there. It is reported online that the action was never particularly low on this model and the original owner confirmed with us that it's pretty much always been the same.

If you don't mind a slightly higher than average (but not bad for a 50 year old guitar) action, but want a truly fantastic sounding guitar for a bargain - this might be the one!
