Pre-Owned Gibson SG Special 120th Ann. - Butterscotch - 2014

A firm favourite in the shop - Gibson construction quality, light as a feather, push-pull pots, 10/10 playability and looks like a 70's dream. ⭐️

If you're one for natural relicing and making a statement this one is for you! American made and crafted to the highest quality, it's made from classic tonewoods with a solid mahogany body and maple neck with a slim ’60s profile and features an asymmetrical double-cutaway for ultimate fret access and comfort, and showcases a commemorative Gibson 120th Anniversary inlay at the 12th fret. It features a pair of Gibson’s Modern Classics humbucking pickups, a 490R in the neck position and a 490T in the bridge, which will cover you for anything from Hank Williams to Polyphia (we can confirm). 

It's worn away in all of the right places, and the pickguard has been retro-fitted, but we think that it elevates the look and really cuts the mustard. It's certainly had a life, and the most noticeable imperfection is the swirling from where a strap has rubbed throughout the years - but we think it all adds to it's charm! Other than that there's some minor swirling/scratches on the back cavity that is only visible when the light bounces off it (shown in photos) and some minor knocks to the neck. The metal work on the pickups, tuners, bridge, switch are all in great shape with the only sign of rust being on the pickguard screws and a small amount on the input jack. There's the tiniest amount of fret wear, but barely visible and nothing that affects playability whatsoever.
