However you may or may not know about the mythical Mostortion - a short lived Ibanez 10 series pedal which has become one of the most highly sought after overdrive pedals around! One of the features that makes the Mostortion so unique is its three band EQ.\u003c\/span\u003e\u003cbr\u003e\u003cbr\u003e\u003cspan\u003e\"um, lots of pedals have a three band EQ!?\" not like this they don't; this isn't just a normal amp EQ thrown on to the end of a drive circuit, this is a carefully crafted EQ designed to work with an amps EQ, rather than boosting and cutting the same exact frequencies as your amps EQ.\u003c\/span\u003e\u003cbr\u003e\u003cbr\u003e\u003cspan\u003eNow, other than having a weird chip, the Mostortion isn't a million miles away from a tube screamer, so I thought \"why not merge the two together and make a tube screamer with a Mostortion EQ!\". That is the essence of what we have here, but with so much more....\u003c\/span\u003e\u003cbr\u003e\u003cbr\u003e\u003cmeta charset=\"utf-8\"\u003e\u003cspan\u003eFirstly let's add a charge pump, to up the internal voltage of the pedal to 35v (all from a normal, boss style, 9v centre negative power supply, i.e you don't need a special power supply, just plug in your normal pedal power supply and the pedal will do the rest) providing the circuit with an incredible amount of headroom\u003c\/span\u003e\u003cbr\u003e\u003cbr\u003e\u003cspan\u003eThen let's add a diode switch, to go between the classic tube screamer two clipping diodes, no clipping diodes for HUGE boost tones, or four clipping diodes for a sweet middle ground of light crunch.\u003c\/span\u003e\u003cbr\u003e\u003cbr\u003e\u003cspan\u003eTop mounted jacks?
